SLING Days 2026: Supercomputing and Artificial Intelligence for Innovation and Development

How can supercomputing, artificial intelligence, and data technologies contribute to innovation in research, the economy, and public services? Answers to these questions will be presented at SLING Days 2026, a traditional annual event taking place on 17–18 November 2026 at Hotel Mons in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Co-organised by the Slovenian AI Factory (SLAIF) and the National Competence Centre for Supercomputing – NCC SLING, the event will once again bring together researchers, experts, industry representatives, public sector stakeholders, and everyone interested in the latest technological trends, with a particular focus on practical applications of advanced digital technologies.

At a time of rapid advances in artificial intelligence and growing demand for high-performance computing resources, supercomputers are becoming essential infrastructure for innovation, competitiveness, and digital transformation. SLING Days offer a unique opportunity to learn about the latest developments, connect with leading experts, and learn about services, programmes, and support mechanisms that provide companies, research organisations, and public institutions with access to cutting-edge Slovenian and European digital capabilities.

This year’s event will place special emphasis on:

  • Concrete applications of supercomputing and artificial intelligence in research, industry, and public administration;
  • The use of services offered through the European AI Factories initiative and the NCC SLING National Competence Centre;
  • The transfer of knowledge and services between the research and business communities;
  • Funding opportunities and support for the development of advanced digital solutions.

The event will offer numerous networking opportunities and facilitate connections with key national and European organisations that provide access to supercomputing infrastructure, expertise, and innovation ecosystems.

Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.

The event is organised within the framework of the EuroCC3 and SLAIF projects.

Registration and the programme will be available soon.
