The 49th International Conference will be held in Opatija, Croatia, from 25 to 29 May 2026 MIPRO 2026, one of the largest regional conferences on information and communication technologies, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.
This year’s conference highlights the “Economic AI and HPC Forum“, aimed at presenting Europe’s strategic orientations and the technological and infrastructural environments for the development of smart industries supported by AI and HPC. The Forum focuses on large companies as well as SMEs and their potential to use advanced digital technologies.
Representatives ofthe National Competence Centre SLING – NCC SLING will again actively participate in the conference. Together with representatives of NCC Croatia, they will present the activities of both centres at the exhibition stand.
V Thursday, 28 May, The session “Human-Computer Interaction” will also include a lecture entitled “Educational Activities and Lessons Learned from the EuroCC 2 National Competence Center for Supercomputing in Slovenia“, which will present the educational activities and experiences of the Slovenian Competence Center within the EuroCC 2 project.
On the same day, representatives of the Slovenian Artificial Intelligence Factory (SLAIF) will also organise a special presentation dedicated to the vertical services of artificial intelligence and their practical application in the fields of energy, healthcare, digital society and science. The event will also be an opportunity to strengthen cross-border cooperation in the field of AI between Slovenia, Croatia and the wider Western Balkans region, and to promote knowledge sharing, competence development and integration of an inclusive European AI ecosystem.
