Development access is primarily intended for the development of software and algorithms. It may also be granted for a research project with limited resource requirements or for a project with specific objectives, such as data post-processing and visualization.

Terms of Service
DA is granted for a maximum of 12 months from the date of resource allocation. Computing resources will be allocated according to the SLING Task Allocation Standards, and a specific set of resource usage rules may apply to certain systems. The call is permanently open.
Beneficiaries, review procedure and allocation
DA applications can be submitted at any time to a permanently open call for proposals, and applications are evaluated by the members of the expert group on technical level and relevance. Once approved by the expert group, the administrators can grant access. Applicants will be informed about the eligibility of their application within 1 week of submitting the application
Support
SLING provides high-level technical support to each DA, organised by the Support Team. In special cases, the applicant may request expert support at the time of application to solve specific problems or to ensure the optimisation required. Such support must be requested and justified by the applicant in the access application.
Limitations
An applicant can only act as project leader in two approved DA applications at the same time.

Project applications are subject to an assessment of their suitability and feasibility. In addition to the Development Access (RD) application form, you must also attach the completed Agreement on the processing of personal data (GDPR) and declaration on the use of resources.

Project report
At the end of the project, the project leader is obliged to submit a report (template on the button below).
Extending and/or increasing resources
When renewing a project or requesting an extension of access, a maximum of 50% additional resources compared to those approved in the original resource allocation may be requested. A time extension is also possible for a maximum period of 6 months. You may apply for an access extension after submitting the report, at least one month before the access period expires. Access will be suspended if the report is not submitted on time.
