Arctur guides students in solving engineering challenges with artificial intelligence at the EESTech Challenge

Arctur, a leading high-tech company, understands the critical role of collaboration between students and enterprises in spurring innovation and nurturing talent In alignment with this philosophy, the company is dedicated to deeply engaging with students, immersing them in its work environment, and providing the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the ever-evolving tech landscape.

At this year’s EESTech Challenge, which took place on 6 and 7 April in Ljubljana, Arctur’s technical team challenged students to develop a predictive model for mountain trail visitation. The EESTech Challenge offers students a venue to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical issues, especially in computer science and electrical engineering, by using advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence. For Arctur, this event was a precious opportunity to not only challenge and inspire students but also to observe the fresh ideas and innovative solutions they contribute.

During the EESTech Challenge hackathon, Arctur’s technical team put forth a task for the students: “Predictive Model of Visiting Mountain Trails.” Over 24 hours, 18 student teams engaged in solving specific challenges typical of everyday engineering tasks. Arctur’s challenge involved developing both a predictive model for trail visitation and a software application for data visualization and prediction. Guided by Arctur’s skilled professionals, five determined teams took up the gauntlet.

The SLING National Competence Centre also presented itself at the stand during the competition.

We warmly congratulate all the participants and look forward to witnessing more successes through future collaborative problem-solving efforts!
