AI4VET4AI MOOCs Bring Practical AI Skills to Learners Across Europe

Artificial intelligence is transforming how we work, learn, and make decisions. To support this transition, the AI4VET4AI project introduces a new generation of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) — open, practical, and accessible to learners across Europe and beyond.

The European co-funded Erasmus+ project, coordinated by Algebra University, brings together 26 partners from 11 countries, combining expertise from education, research, and industry. Slovenian partners include Arctur, as an industry partner contributing real-world use cases and applied expertise, alongside education and research partners — the Faculty of Information Studies Novo Mesto, Rudolfovo – Science and Technology Centre Novo Mesto, and School Centre Celje.

AI Skills Where They Matter Most

The AI4VET4AI MOOCs focus on sectors with strong potential for AI application, linking learning directly to real-world needs. Through 7 IVET and CVET courses, 21 modules, and 63 units, learners can explore:

  • Using AI for Understanding Tourism Impact and Improving Sustainability
  • Human-AI Collaboration in Teaching and Learning
  • Supporting Doctor–Patient Interactions with AI
  • Using AI for Personalised Advertising Campaigns
  • AI in Market Research
  • AI in Customer Service: Chatbots, Virtual Assistants and Personalised Suggestions
  • AI-Driven Inventory and Logistics Automation

Developed in collaboration with industry partners, the courses integrate real use cases and practical scenarios, ensuring that learners build skills they can apply immediately in professional contexts.

From Real Experience to Real Skills

A key strength of the MOOCs is their ability to translate complex industry knowledge into clear, structured learning experiences.
“The biggest effort was transforming real-world knowledge into something structured and understandable — turning complex problems into learning scenarios people can apply.” Said representative of Arctur, martina Golob
By combining instructional design with industry insight, the courses help learners develop critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and practical AI competence.

Open Learning for a Changing World

Designed for students, educators, professionals, and jobseekers, the MOOCs are free, online, and self-paced, making AI education available and accessible worldwide, regardless of prior experience.
The programme supports both Initial Vocational Education and Training (IVET) and Continuing Vocational Education and Training (CVET), contributing to lifelong learning and skills development across Europe.

Now Available – Courses Open for Enrolment

The AI4VET4AI MOOCs are now open to the public, offering a practical way to explore AI applications across sectors and join a growing European learning community.
Participants can complete courses and earn certificates to validate their competencies.
