From 10 to 12 December 2025, the Python Meets HPC Hackathon will take place at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and online, as part of the EPICURE project. The event is intended for researchers, developers, and HPC experts who wish to further develop their knowledge of using Python in the field of high-performance computing (HPC).
Participants will tackle practical challenges in Python and high-performance computing, optimise code, and exchange best practices for improving performance and scalability.
The event offers an opportunity to collaborate with experts and peers on real Python + HPC challenges, optimise one’s own codebases, or contribute to relevant open-source projects. At the same time, it enables learning best practices for parallelisation, scaling, and profiling, as well as connecting with the broader European HPC community.
Registration for the free hackathon is already open, and the organisers invite anyone wishing to propose their own Python project or computational challenge to submit it via the proposal form. Before the event, participants can further strengthen their knowledge through EPICURE webinars, including workshops on using Python on GPUs and profiling Python code.
