Last week (September 22–26), the Faculty of Computer and Information Science at the University of Ljubljana hosted the international conference AI4SCIENCE, which was complemented by the DaFab summer school, as well as the SMASH, and Discovery Science conferences.
The program included several tracks that offered answers to current questions regarding the use of artificial intelligence in scientific research in all fields, from the humanities to physics and medicine. An important part of the event was also a two-day section on artificial intelligence factories, where the Slovenian factory SLAIF was also presented.
The conference was organised by the Faculty of Computer and Information Science in Ljubljana, SMASH postdoctoral programme, the »Jožef Stefan« Institute, and the Slovenian Artificial Intelligence Society.
