On 13 October 2025, the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) announced the selection of 13 AI Factory Antennas to complement existing AIFactories across Europe. The initiative aims to strengthen national AI ecosystems and enable wider access to AI-optimised supercomputing capabilities.
The European Union will co-finance the project with around €55 million, matched by the participating countries. Each antenna will work in close collaboration with a selected AI Factory, providing access to resources for research, innovation and industrial applications, and offering small-scale computing systems for testing and adapting AI models.
The launch of the antennas marks an important step towards expanding the AI Factory initiative and reinforces Europe’s leadership in AI. It will allow wider access to advanced infrastructure and promote research, development and deployment of AI in various sectors.
