On Wednesday, 13 November 2024, we invite you to the webinar Demystifying HPC: From Basics to Practical Applications<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, organised by DIGI-SI. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seminar provides an introduction to High Performance Computing (HPC) and its application in industrial and research environments. Participants will learn the key concepts of supercomputing, including the architecture of HPC systems and the opportunities that HPC brings. Examples of HPC applications in different industries and the Slovenian HPC environment, including the Vega supercomputer and the SLING consortium, will also be presented. Participants will gain insights into the potential of HPC and practical guidelines for its application. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lecture will be given by Dr Mladen Borovi\u010d from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the University of Maribor, whose research interests include natural language processing, recommender systems and search engines, detection of similar content, artificial intelligence and its applications, as well as supercomputing and high-performance computing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seminar will be held in Slovenian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
