The EuroHPC Summit 2024<\/strong><\/a>, Europe’s largest high-performance computing conference, unfolded in Antwerp, Belgium, from March 18-21. Gathering more than 700 technology experts, enthusiasts, industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers, the event showcased the latest advancements, fostered collaborations, and addressed both present and future computing challenges, promoting the adoption of cutting-edge EuroHPC supercomputers. The agenda included high-level plenary sessions alongside technical parallel discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Tuesday, March 19th, one of the EuroHPC JU Vega<\/strong>, was presented in the EUROHPC Demo Lab. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the HPC system, located in Maribor, Slovenia, and talk to representatives from IZUM Maribor. Subsequently, on March 20th, Barbara Kra\u0161ovec,<\/strong> system administrator at the “Jo\u017eef Stefan” Institute, provided valuable perspectives from both Vega’s users and administrators during the “Enabling SME and AI Communities to Grow and Scale Up with HPC<\/em>.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, SLING partners from Arnes<\/strong>, Arctur<\/strong>, University of Ljubljana-LECAD<\/strong>, “Jo\u017eef Stefan” Institute<\/strong>, IZUM<\/strong> and University of Maribor<\/strong> had the opportunity to discuss topics and ongoing activities together with other representatives from National Competence Centres and Centres of Excellence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday, March 22nd, a Communication Workshop took place in Brussels, bringing together communication champions from National Competence Centres and Centres of Excellence.
