Computing resources will be allocated in accordance with the SLING Task Allocation Standards; a specific set of resource usage rules may apply to certain systems.<\/p><p><strong>Deadlines for applications: <\/strong>visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sling.si\/en\/calls-for-open-access-and-use-of-resources\/#LRP-call\">page.<\/a><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"ea-card sp-ea-single\"><h3 class=\"ea-header\"><a class=\"collapsed\" id=\"ea-header-161152\" role=\"button\" data-sptoggle=\"spcollapse\" data-sptarget=\"#collapse161152\" aria-controls=\"collapse161152\" href=\"#\" aria-expanded=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\"><i aria-hidden=\"true\" role=\"presentation\" class=\"ea-expand-icon eap-icon-ea-expand-plus\"><\/i> Beneficiaries, review procedure and allocation<\/a><\/h3><div class=\"sp-collapse spcollapse \" id=\"collapse161152\" data-parent=\"#sp-ea-16115\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"ea-header-161152\"> <div class=\"ea-body\"><p>LRA applications must be submitted to a call for proposal. Applications will be evaluated by the members of the expert group on technical level and relevance and subject to scientific peer review. In the context of technical relevance, priority will be given to production applications where the available resources can significantly improve the results, e.g. highly parallel or well-scalable simulations, applications that can take advantage of a large number of computing nodes, that use highly scalable algorithms, high data throughput, large datasets, or have specific hardware requirements, e.g. the use of graphics accelerators. This will take into account the resources available within the SLING capacity. The results will be announced within 2 months after each submission deadline.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"ea-card sp-ea-single\"><h3 class=\"ea-header\"><a class=\"collapsed\" id=\"ea-header-161153\" role=\"button\" data-sptoggle=\"spcollapse\" data-sptarget=\"#collapse161153\" aria-controls=\"collapse161153\" href=\"#\" aria-expanded=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\"><i aria-hidden=\"true\" role=\"presentation\" class=\"ea-expand-icon eap-icon-ea-expand-plus\"><\/i> Support<\/a><\/h3><div class=\"sp-collapse spcollapse \" id=\"collapse161153\" data-parent=\"#sp-ea-16115\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"ea-header-161153\"> <div class=\"ea-body\"><p>SLING provides high-level technical support to each LRA, organised by the Support Team. In special cases, the applicant may request expert support at the time of application to solve specific problems or to ensure the optimisation required. Such support must be requested and justified by the applicant in the application.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"ea-card sp-ea-single\"><h3 class=\"ea-header\"><a class=\"collapsed\" request<strong> a maximum of 50%<\/strong> of additional resources than were approved in the original allocation of resources. A time extension is also possible for <strong>a maximum of 6 months<\/strong>. You can apply for a project extension after submitting the report.
