Slovenian National Supercomputing Network<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Slovenian National Supercomputing Network (SLING)<\/strong> is a consortium <\/a>of partners<\/strong> dedicated to advancing supercomputing<\/strong>, networked<\/strong> and distributed computing<\/strong>, and high-performance computing systems<\/strong> for research in science, education, business, and public administration. The consortium is led by Arnes<\/a>, which represents Slovenia on behalf of SLING in European and global organizations and supports the consortium’s activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SLING <\/strong>provides users with central national infrastructure services<\/strong>, and access to supercomputing systems and clusters<\/strong>. These are managed by the individual members, while Arnes, as the representative, ensures the test environment and training with access to the Arnes HPC cluster<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Developing a sustainable national infrastructure <\/strong>of supercomputing systems and connecting them to an advanced networking infrastructure (supercomputing grid).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Establishing knowledge centers <\/strong>and providing training in the use of supercomputers and other high performance computing (HPC) systems, as well as technology transfer <\/strong>to new application areas that expand the horizons of science.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Providing access to shared national, international, and European capacities <\/strong>for SLING members and all eligible users.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Integrating <\/strong>Slovenian infrastructure in various European and international initiatives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Actively participating in initiative<\/strong>s such as EuroHPC JU, EGI, PRACE, and those aimed at providing support (EuroCC 2, CoE, etc.).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Assisting in the integration of new partners<\/strong> and providing organizational, infrastructural, and arbitration support for the establishment of cooperation agreements between partners.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
